28 Kensington Ave M5T 2J9,
I don't work there or anything but i have never seen it sold at FIKA
Lovely café with specialty drinks, small 2-person tables and a study table in the back. I saw a member of Hey Rosetta! on the patio one summer!! That’s how you know it’s a cool place.
Coffee could've been better. Dessert was great, not too sweet!
It has really good vibes! And this sandwich with Americano combo is highly recommended ðŸ‘ðŸ»âœ¨
A really nice little cafe serving homemade swedish cinnamon buns and nice ice tea. There's outdoor seating. No wifi on weekends.
The cafe itself is really tiny but comforting at the same place. Specially the couches they have beside the cash counter. Situated in between the Kensington market, Fika probably completes everything that is needed to be in that place. I have visited other more cafes around that area but their customer service is awesome and the staff is really friendly and welcoming. Also, it is a nice and quiet place for for those who want to work at some less noisy place.
Cute and cozy place. Went on a Saturday so the seating was a bit sparse and drink service took a bit of time (baristas were working very diligently though, just the cafe was busy!). Food is brought to your seat which is nice! Ordered the smoked salmon open faced sandwich with a fennel slaw and it was delicious albeit small. It was a bit expensive for the size. Before coming consider your budget. For my drink I had the chai latte which was lukewarm unfortunately. Overall it's a great place. Try and catch it during slow hours and know what you want to spend before coming.
High end priced coffee - good local shop
This cafe is honestly so adorable. The book wall in the back is beautiful for using as a photo background. Its a small hole in the wall place that is well worth hunting down. Not the easiest place to access but if you are doing things in the area it is definitely great to stop by. Prices are really good considering the work that goes into their products.
This cafe is so adorable and the food is really delicious and fresh. I had a quick bite - avocado toast with tomatoes and spouts, and an iced almond milk latte. It was perfect 👌 sat outside in the back patio in the sun with a friendly black cat. Very chill and relaxing. Coffee was delicious. Can't wait to go back :)
This review is for my friend Tom. “Super happy with my long black. Can’t get them in North America usually and this barista knew what was going onâ€
This is one of the prettiest cafes to study or read in. They have indoor and outdoor, front and back seating areas, with plenty of sunshine. Music is pleasant and calming. There's usually lots of people, right up to closing time, but generally quiet enough to study or get work done. Crowd tends to be a bit more mature than similar cafes in the area. The barista was thoughtful about not adding too much syrup, friendly in explaining menu items, and flexible about making off menu drinks/modifications.
I took my Australian friend here for a coffee. We both got oat milk flat white and were in heaven. The consistency of the milk provided the smooth taste in our mouths. She also ordered salmon sandwich with a side of salad which she enjoyed very much.
Lovely coffee, cool decor, friendly staff, fantastic cinnamon buns all in the quirky Kensington Market
Just had brunch in there place, latte and sandwich are really great, it a really goood atmosphere and good spot to hang out with friend.
I usually visit here every year with my friends around lent season when they make Swedish semlas. Overall, their pastries taste great! My only request is that they make more pastries since they tend to run out of them pretty early.
Love this quaint coffee shop located in Kensington! This place can get quite busy as it is small but the space does open up in the summer as there is space in the back and in the front. Love the minimalism here, the ambiance, the environment- it’s so cute!
This place is a gem! Great coffee and food with a relaxing atmosphere and a nice place to take a break. FIKA is a great place to visit when you are in Kensington Market. I'm looking forward to going back.
Fika is one of my favourite cafes in Kensington Market. They have a few tables in the front and a large table for sharing in the back room ( the one with all of the books). The washroom is downstairs. They also have a back patio that is useful for more space in the summer. The coffee is good, and I love their Swedish cinnamon buns. They also have gingerbreads in the shape of their logo. Also an assortment of books about coffee to read.
Lovely and sweet cafe with ample seating indoors and outdoors. The cafe is nicely decorated and would make a nice date night for two. They offer a variety of hot and cold beverages with a variety of pastry options. They also have a free water station for those thirsty people.
This small and adorable cafe in Kensington Matket area was unique. Nice pastries, sandwiches and breakfast all day, as well as many different drunks. Spiced latte seemed to be very popular. I had brunch stuff and the food was very good. I loved it! Their coffee selections are awesome as well. It is the perfect place if you are looking for some quiet time to read books or to catch up your friends. In addition, there are lots of students there to study. A must for a quiet rest and a coffee when you are in Kensington Market!
One of my favorite cafes! I had a microground earl grey tea latte, and since they use microground tea it remains super creamy and not watery. They also use minor figures oat milk which is the best milk alternative, in my opinion! My sister also had a lavender white hot chocolate which was sweet and cozy. Their playlist is also amazing!!
Incredible atmosphere and coffee. I highly recommend if you are in the area
Great potato salad with smoked salmon sandwich. Loved the pickled onion with the salmon and the fresh dill on the potato salad. Lovely shady back garden and helpful service. If you need a cool, quiet break from downtown Toronto this secret garden is the spot!
Took a friend here and we both fell in love. The hot chocolate is beyond amazing (get it with oat milk) and the ginger snaps are perfect. The whole cafe feels familiar, warm and cozy. Perfect.
My favourite cafe in the city. It has a European feel like so many other places in Toronto attempt and fail to achieve. Staff are friendly and relaxed, making you feel welcome. It has a great combination of feeling cosy but also airy and open. Warning: The cardamom latte may not make you want to drink any other latte ever again. Also, definitely grab a selfie in front of the book wall before you depart!
Very cozy and comfortable. I tried the vegan carrot cake, it was delicious!
Relaxing, peaceful even though it’s a busy place. Reasonable price with friendly service.
What a relaxing place. Good coffee and good pastries. Important note: they don’t offer WiFi on weekends from April to September (Not sure about the end month). But keep that in mind if you are planning to work on your laptop and need internet. The space in the back is so cozy. Many books on the wall to remind us to read more books and less screens. There’s a backyard as well.
FIKA is an adorable and charming coffee shop in Kensington Market. It's the perfect place to read a book, study and chat with friends. The staff is lovely.I recommend all their beverages but the cardamom iced coffee and the lavender white hot chocolate are my favorites. It can get very busy sometimes but if you go early enough, you'll be sure to find a spot where to sit.
Small, but nice atmosphere. Sometimes difficult to find seating. Liked the mocha over the latte.
Authentic and cozy! Fika is the Swedish word for going out to get a coffee. They offer the lovely cardamom buns that I remember eating in Stockholm. I also had the cardamom latte, which paired nicely. There is seating outside in the front, AND in the back. A great place for a coffee break.
Cute and simple little cafe. It was very busy (around 1pm on a rainy Sunday)with limited seating. Cappuccino and ginger carrot cake were very good. Music and vibe was good. Much more seating on front and back patio when not raining. Definitely would come back
Local cafe with comfortable couches and absolutely delicious coffee. Highly recommend the cardamon latte and the chai tea latte. The atmosphere is relaxing and cozy. Front and back patio is awesome for a summer day. There are a few practical things to keep in mind: 1. It's a small cafe so when it gets busy it might be hard to find a seat, 2. They have hours when there's no wifi, which encourages conversation but if you are looking to do work, keep that in mind. 3. Extra for non-dairy milk and lactose free milk. Not the end of the world and its standard practice so completely understandable.
Very tasty flat white with great beans from Pilot! Excellent ambience to sit and do work
Really sweet place to chill with coffee. Swedish style. Nice terrasse in the back and on the front for Summer and sun shining days
Still my favorite coffee shop in Kensington Market. You need to experience this
This cute little cafe does wonderful food and good drinks. It’s a lovely spot to sit for a while and watch the world go by.
Very cute cafe with great use of the space to ensure seating. Their page wall is interesting to read as you gather bits of pieces of stories. The Lavender White Hot Chocolate and Mulled Elderberry Tea are an excellent and tasty way to warm up on a cool day!
Service is slow and my order got forgotten. I got a cookie as an apology but on a limited lunch hour (from 1-2) I wasn't a fan of the delay.Food is good atmosphere is wonderful. If you have the time its a great little spot.
One of my favorite cafes in the city. Great coffee and good pastry selection. There are lots of seats inside and outside. They have a famous wall with old books which makes for a great little photo opp. I always get an iced espresso and a little fika cookie.
Came here for breakfast before our Art Gallery visit! What a cute little neighbourhood with colorful houses all around. Their terrace is comfortable and not too busy. We went on a Sunday morning and it only got busy after we were done eating. I ordered their breakfast bacon sandwich with extra avocado and it was so good. Perfect way to start the day. I didn't like their lemonade though. It was too sour for me.
Fika means tea time in Swedish ! It’s a cute cafe with nice food and drinks! They only offer wifi during the weekdays, hence gets busy !
Such a cute coffee shop with great roasts. Got an Americano and enjoyed sitting in the back patio while soaking in a little Fall sun. Wait wasn't long at all and baristas are super friendly!
Must try! The vibe is amazing
Cute cafe with a great atmosphere and good coffee. Service was fairly quick even though it was busy. Not a a lot of seating but a decent amount. Also has little snacks and merchandise.
Fika is definitely one of my favourite Toronto cafes. Not only are the food and drinks delicious, the decor is unique and welcoming. A must try is the cardamom spiced lattes and any of the cardamon spices treats!
Good coffee, Love the atmosphere
Such a cute little place with that book wall. One of my favorite places in Kensington
We had such a lovely time at this cafe. The garden in the back is a peaceful oasis in the heart of Kensington market. The carrot ginger muffin is delicious, and so is the hot chocolate ! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is peaceful and zen. Love the artful decor. We will be back for sure.
